Friends Of Myles Standish awarded matching funds for state forest projects

BOSTON—State Senator Marc R. Pacheco (D-Taunton), Senate Chair of the Joint Committee on Environment, Natural Resources and Agriculture, has announced the Department of Conservation and Recreation has awarded the Friends of Myles Standish State Forest $12,667 through its Partnerships Matching Funds Program towards projects at Myles Standish State Forest.

The Friends group includes Middleboro area residents.

The state forest projects, which will receive $6,333 in partner contributions, include landscape improvements around the visitor center and a new water bubbler, DCR said.
